RE: [nukkad] Roza

If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything. - Mark Twain
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course u will hear about Hindoo practicising or keeping roza. This is a
quite and example of Hindoo tolerance towards other religion. But till date
I have not heard any Muslim observing fast on Ramnavami or Janmasthami or
Bhim Ekadashi

It is only the responsibility of Hindoos to take such initiative,
irrespective of other side responding...... .....

It is a matter of personal choice. Observing a custom or not never means ill
will . It is just as you may prefer coffee and I prefer tea. If someone born
into muslim faith observes fast on Ramnavami or Janmasthami or Bhim
Ekadashi or any other holy custom , great. If someone born into Hindu
faith observes fast or Roza or any other holy custom , great.

Unfortunately our inputs come predominantly from the media. We usually have
no other access to happenings around the world or even around our place.
We all know the push and pull on the media . Our news is filtered through
all this before it is presented to us.

As for the month of Ramadhan and fasting , some muslims do not observe the
fast . For many , there are health constraints. Some simply do not. Again it
is purely a personal matter . I think it applies to all faiths.

When a person becomes hostile to fellow human beings because of color of
skin, nationality or faith , then the person is a victim of generalizations,
prejudice and propoganda .[ Besides , these hostile feelings regularly
release harmful chemicals within the body which further damage the person`s
health ]

The menace of terrorism looms large on our societies. We all must tackle
this problem collectively.
Any attack on human beings or property is criminal and must be punished
severly. This is a law and order problem . We must not be misguided by the
culprits name. Anyone hurting a fellow human being even with a harsh word
immediately looses faith and religion. A criminal cannot be Christian or
Hindu or Muslim or any other religion.

Every religion advocates tolerance , amity and good will between faiths and
in general.
