During the month of Ramzaan (as per islamic "hijri"
calender) muslims observe fast during the daytime for the
entire calendar month (about 29 days)

There are times specified in morning for sahari (sahar: urdu
for morning) and in evening for iftaar (?).

People wake up, take bath, observe namaaz (holy prayer),
then they can eat whatever till the time of sahari ends.

After that, they are not supposed to eat anything, drink
anything entire day till the time of start of iftaar.

They are not supposed to even swallow their saliva, not even
take any pill, not involve in any pleasurable activity
(like, watching movies, going on picnic, having sex...).

When the iftaar begins, they again fresh up, observe namaaz,
and can eat anything. But, normally, after a hard starving
day, they are not able to eat much, so they eat some little
thing for the sake of it to start the metabolism. Pind
Khajoor (date in english?) is the favourite dish that is
light yet gives calories.

Then they can eat anything till the next morning sehari
time, but they are still not supposed to engage in
enjoyment.

It is winter time, but you can imagine when they have to
spend a month like this in summers at 45 deg c.

The month concludes with the the festival of Eid WHEN AZIM
COURIERS 1 KG OF COOKED SIWAI TO ALL LIST MEMBERS (english?
verci... vermi...? just missing. :) it is noodle like long
threads made sweat mostly in milk with dryfruits).

I think it is to comemorate the captivity of prophet Hazarat
Mohammed with his family members and army?

corrections to the above invited. except from Azim. :)

It did reach.

Does it mean your previous mails had not been reaching us?
All the while I was assuming that you have not been writing.

Hope you did not catch a leaking nose in this changing
weather.

How are the temperature range at your place at Poland over
the year.

At my place it is about 4 deg c min in winters, and about 40
deg c max in summers. yeasterday it reached 12 deg c first
time in this season. Till now I have not used wollen cloths
or quilt this time around, though I started taking bath with
hot water at the start f this month.

Regards.
