Roza is the fast that Muslims must observe during the holy month of 
Ramadhan.

Nothing must pass the lips during the period from sunrise to sunset. No food 
drink smoke.

Also abstinence -  for want of a better term - is practised.

I am sure you will get a better epxlanation from those who practise teh 
religion
