Mr Zaveri,

I agree and disagree with you on the above points.

Looking at Sardar Patel and Morarji Desai as Hindu's only would be wrong

They were essentially men of character.
Some believe that if Patel was PM instead of Nehru then he would have never
settled for anything 
less than the entire Kashmir and he would have never gone to the UN.
If it was not for him then the Nizam of Hyderabad would have acceded to
Pakistan.

Same goes for Morarji.

To use a phrase they both had 'balls of steel', something totally missing
from our politicians today even
considering the different set of circumstances.

But saying that there were Hindu and thats why blah blah blah would be
wrong.

Morarji Desai ordered policemen to open fire on demonstrators during the
days when the movement for
creating Maharashtra state was on. 
That shows you the objectivity of these two men.
