Well, I remember the sixties.... TV in Mumbai came after 1970-71. For every
(good) program like Movie songs or Hindi Movie, each TV owner had an
audience of at least 25 people and many times there were TV parties.
Telephones were also a luxury- urgent communication by telegrams. For
outstation phones, trunk calls were booked and you would be damn lucky if
you got a trunk call materialising in a few hours and the voice being clear
without getting disconnected in between. We had not even seen a Calculator
till 1970. Calculations by Engg students were done by Slide rules or log
tables- wonder how many Engineers still know to use them!

Let us all share such similar experiences- especially from senior members
like Rawatji, Guptaji, Mr. Venugopal, Dr. Vasudevan,  etc. and those now
settled in US
