All this is part of human nature . Alcohol , gambling , money lending for
interest are all forbidden in Islam. The holy Koran insists on helping each
other , not just the believers. A "non-muslim" in Arabic means an atheist
and muslim means a believer in the oneness of God and the hereafter. Except
for praying to idols [ hinduism] and the belief that Jesus Christ is the son
of God [ christianity]  , there really is`nt much difference. Even this
"difference" can be properly understood when viewed objectively. The
destination is one and the same.

It is a personal matter whether one observes these things , as long as the
action does not harm others. There are muslims who drink alcohol , gamble ,
live off interest etc. There are hindus, christians too who violate their
own religious teachings.

A truly religious person , irrespective of the brand of religion assigned ,
will always be tolerant of other faiths.
