[nukkad] What impedes India's growth

Hello everyone,
I have carried out a small survey covering 10 persons, all Indians and
residents of Dubai for over a decade.
The question posed to them was : Give three most important factors which
seriously obstruct India's progress.


Quite surprisingly none touched upon the following points :

1) Communal violence
2) Hostile neighbours
3) Heavy spendings on defence
4) After effects of long years of colonial rule
5) Terrorism
6) Separatist movements
7) Calamities like drought, flood, cyclone, quake.
8) Low labour productivity
9) Lower status of women
10) Superstitions and social ills like dowry
11) Faulty economic policies
12) Hard Luck

What is your input ????

In my view none touched upon those 12 points coz the above 12 points are not
the factors ,  but the result of  the three most important factors you found
from your survey.
