I disagree with this. In this particular instance,
Ravi's forgetting to invite Rohit was plain and open. It
was absolutely alright for Ravi to make amends IN
PUBLIC. After all, it is easy to criticise in public and
agree in private - only the bravest among us can accept
our mistakes in public.

And that is what Ravi did.

That means this particular example was not right.
