Gupta ji,

The exhortation at the end of the above sentence is a noble one
but the analogies that you use to reach that are quite bad. Almost
all the examples you use are classic cases of imperialism where
one region was annexed and brought under the power of another by
force. China has pretty much destroyed Tibetan identity and the
European powers ruled their Asian colonies with an iron fist.
They didn't care about integrating the people and the culture.
To them it was a way to increase their wealth and demonstrate
their power. The American and UN attacks on Afghanistan were
also in response to a terrorist attack.

None of these situations are even remotely comparable to India's
relation to Jammu & Kashmir. J&K has been a part of India since
India's independance. India did not annex it (some may dispute
this but it is true) nor has India tried to destroy the local
culture. India has not exploited the region nor have we ignored
it.

There are many, many reasons for better integration of J&K
with India. To cite China, England, France and US as guides
is arguing against yourself.

Regards,
Harshal
