It is expected that poaching and illegal trading will significantly

Animal cruelty... a heinous crime... unpardonable...
I would consider some serious punishment for a "creature" who
commits such a crime.

Yes... poaching or illegal hunting is very common in the US.
And anybody who --hunts-- ... I have no respect for them. Period.

Studies show that "people" who illtreat/abuse animals are predisposed
to violence.

In my opinion... hunting is plain animal abuse. And it has been
proven that people who abuse animals may harm their spouses,
children or other family members.
In fact... the abuse of animals is often an early indicator of the
abuse of other human beings.

Interestingly enough... studies also show that many animal abusers
have been victims of child abuse... themselves.

Violence is violence ... and abuse is abuse ... regardless of the
recipient. And if the recipient is an animal... the crime is monstrous.
We may never know if animals have souls or personalities or feelings...
but they know pain. They know distrust. They know fear.
And unfortunately for them... not all of us are as "humane" as our
name implies.

When a "human" cannot exhibit kindness, compassion, sharing, and
responsibility towards these innocent, trusting animals... (s)he is no
longer "human". (S)He has successfully descended to a state called ...
               ... "despicable creature" ...
