Jahanara Begum deserves sympathy . There may be more women like her . She
portrays the plight of women in these 'primitive' societies in her article
"Allah Amader Kandte Dao!"

Just as by naming a person Ram does not make him a good Hindu , or Joseph a
good Christian or Rahim a good muslim ,  a mullah need not be a good muslim
either just because he is known to be a 'mullah' . Ignorance and lack of
proper education are the root of all evil.
A proper understanding of any religious book reveals that all the teachings
are for the good of the society.

It seems Jahanara Begum is living in one of those ignorant primitive
societies. They may have an islamic label , but in fact they have no
religion at all . There may be vested interests who benefit from keeping
these 'tribals'  ignorant. It is a social problem .
