Mr. Menon, you miss the point. The point made in that letter to 
Allah was that Islam legitimizes ill-treatment of women. It is 
ordained in Qura'n as Allah's inviolable dictates.

True, Hindu males too ill-treat their women. But Hindu Religion 
does not sanction it. It is a social evil without any basis in 
religion. So, with educational and economic upliftment, things can 
improve. But Islam legitimizes the ill-treatment as ordained by 
Allah and therefore even educated Muslim males do that. Muslim 
Females do not get educated as their role is only to serve the 
male species and procreate.  There are exceptions like Mr. Hussain 
Jagmag and Dr. Taher but exceptions do not make the rule.  If, God 
forbid, Mr.Jagmag's post in Nukkad is seen by a Mulla, there will 
be a Fatwa against him for blasphemy!
