I agree with Ravi's assessment (and Samira's) that
'those who live in grass houses shouldn't play with fire'.

However, notice how TWO of you (both Hindus) have come
forward spontaneously to complain about the treatment of
women in India versus women in Islam alone.  Ravi even
talked about women in Hinduism etc. 

Now - go back to the NUKKAD archives. And present me
with TWO messages OTHER THAN Farook's (and Azim's and
Taher's) where you have Muslims criticise treatment of
women in Islam. Then we can talk about who is being
hypocritical. 

I am not advocating ignoring the ill treatment of women
in general. Or Hindu women, for that matter. All I was
remarking on was the stunning silence whenever we have
had any criticism of Islam and the incredible defences
that are raised on wafer thin arguments regarding the
status of women in general and how Islam is at least
partially good to women. 

I don't believe I have ever defended Hindu practices
that are abhorrent. Such practices are indefensible.
