We ought not to treat living creatures like shoes or household belongings,
which when worn with use we throw away. -Plutarch, biographer (c. 46-120)

Surprised to see no mention of Gujarat in the entire day.

I sadly guess that it is going to give a boost to BJP/VHP's
hindutva plank and ...........they are going to use it unabashedly in
all the elections.
>> About Gujarat elections I can say:
Democratic process prevailed in Gujarat. Hearty congratulations to
Mr.Modi and BJP.
Indians should be proud of it.
Mr.Modi has not usurped power by force[while it is a frequent phenomenon
in Pakistan],
he got it by vote. One has to bow to the public opinion, even if Hindutva
or Moditva,
scams, water, or any other issue had any influence on the outcome or not.
The general public votes and the party wins, the leader is entrusted to
lead them for their
welfare. Now it is up to that leader.
If the public has voted in favor of any particular slogan or issue will
that be pursued?
if yes! [as rawatji apprehends] then there would have been no Sikhs or
muslim to be seen
around. yes! i am referring to the aftermath of Mrs. Gandhi's
assassination and post Babri
and Bombay Blasts.Ten years on,Bofors! would not have eaten up so much of
public money[in
legal pursuit] power changed hands and nothing happened. Sikhs and
muslims are still alive
so also Bofors and Ibrahims or take any other ghotala [scam] or
terrorist. Politicians play
their game and have a laugh too..
As to the second part of the above query, yes! no wonder in it if it is
used for future
electoral gains. It had been going on like that. If the public [not
particular religion]
votes in favor of it, it becomes the prevailing popular opinion.
Politicians exploiting the
sentiments of public for their own gains, let it be. Come next elections,
new issues, newer
slogans, new political parties, neo politicians, we were having them
since the roti[bread]
kapda[clothes]aur makan[house]days.
Life goes on and change [either for good or bad] is always part of our
life.
Praying for good of all.
