when was your last post?



2.the more i learn about religion more i see the similarities.

opposite views- they are certainly there.

but what is surprising is the places they agree on so many small things.



what bothers me is the ease with which the Islamic religion can be hijacked
by vested interests to propagate their own views be it on kafirs or jehad or
so many other things.

it is not so easy to hijack any of the Hindu religions to do the same.

essentially because Hinduism less rigid and invites interpretations.

while we are fortunate to have mature people here who interpret Islam in a
positive way it is another story with the mullahs and the masses.



3. there were some interesting mails mentioning the subject of menstruation,
'shal even gave his version of understanding on how it came into being.

however the proscription for female to do certain acts is vedic in origin.

there is a specific story narrated in Vedas saying why and how this came
about, the benefits obtained by those who follow that.

it is bit longish story, so i shall mail it to those who would like to read
that.
