V.K.Venugopal would like to know the basis for this generalization, if there
is any.

Kalloor Venu: From Kerala Nuns are going to Bihar/UP/Gujarat and other
states to propagate
their religion and forcing the tribals/SC/ST  for conversion. 

V.K.Venu: Kerala nuns must really be very strong to FORCE somebody to change
religion :) May be they win the trust of the  tribals through social work
and leveraging that trust the nuns may have lured the tribals into
Christianity. What is wrong with that? Constitution guarantees the right to
preach and propagate religion. The nuns exercised that right. Why do you
complain?

Secondly, if nuns from Kerala had to go to Bihar to do social work, it is
because they are filling a vacuum. Who created the vacuum? The tribals may
be nominally Hindus but the Hindu society marginalize them. The Hindus have
traditionally ignored the tribals or have exploited them. Did Hindu
organizations go to work and educate Tribals in Bihar? I wish Christian nuns
are given stiff competition by Hindu missionaries and Hindu nuns in
uplifting the tribals. If the tribals join the people who help them, people
who do nothing to help them have no reason to complain.  

Instead of protesting against the conversions, Hindus should fortify their
defences and look after their less fortunate co-religionists. The fault lies
within Hinduism. There is no point in blaming Christians for exploiting that
fault while exercising their constitutional right to propagate religion.
Heal thyself.

Kalloor Venu: I took  my 3 year old daughter for an admission for KG  and
the interview
was done by a Kerala Nun in Bombay. Everybody was telling that you will get
the admission since the Nun was also from Kerala.  When they put up the
interview result  the name appeared was only Christians. Not any other
castes.

V.K.Venu: I can understand that you are peeved at being denied admission for
your daughter. It may be a school of the Christians, for the Christians, by
the Christians. Ever thought of building one of Hindus, by Hindus, for
Hindus? Give Christians stiff competition! 

And look at yourself. You were relying on the parochial sentiments of the
Malayalee Nun to gain admission. Others may have relied on her religious
sentiments. Religious sentiments won over parochial sentiments, that's all.
