[nukkad] PM on Godhara

PM stated:
Muslims are not repentant for Godhra.

Farook wrote:

The PM must have meant "Muslim political leaders" .

We , irrespective of any caste or religion , all were shocked by
what
happened at Godhra and the temple incidence etc. I am yet to know
a person
who does not share this intense sentiment.

MCG comments:

I have no wish to start debate or show rancour. However, granted
that what Farook has stated is right, a very serious question
arises. How is it that all muslims were shocked but this was not
reflected in the statements issued by their leaders? That raises a
basic question about the legitimacy of muslim leaders. Here is a
big conundrum. Muslims choose/accept certain people as their
leaders. They do not disown those leaders, nor choose new leaders.
Yet, they say that the statements of those leaders do not reflect
the views of muslims. What is all this? Should one conclude that
muslims in India have yet to imbibe the spirit of democracy, a
basic ingredient of which is freedom of thought and expression?
That conclusion seems inescapable. It can be explained by the lack
of education among the muslims as already stated by Farook.

I surmise that the muslim masses are captives in the hands of
their leaders who find it convenient to keep them uneducated and
keep on playing the islam-madrasa card.
