Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world and
has the largest Muslim population.  Approximately 90% of Indonesia's 
population are Muslims, so with a population of about 230 million, 
Indonesia is home to approximately 207 million Muslims.

Bangladesh - total pop: 133 million * 80% Muslim = 106 million Muslims
Nigeria - total pop: 129 million * 50% Muslim = 65 million Muslims
Pakistan - total pop: 147 million * 97% Muslim = 143 million Muslims

and for comparison
India - total pop: 1045 million * 12% Muslim = 120 million Muslims

(A million = ten lakhs and all data from 'The World Factbook 2002')

So India is certainly in the top 3 in terms of number of Muslim
citizens but is nowhere near the top.
