why shd she met out the same treatment she got from her mil?

 Believe me, I am not an FCP, but just have to ask this: do they not

live in the society designed by men..?

If the tradition of living in joint families were not so strong, perhaps the

problem would not be so serious.

after all the mother teaches the children so much.

perhaps not so much in this " modern " society where they too work and have

less time for the children.

if the mother can not inculcate good values to the children, in my mind she

has failed in her duty.

if she has done so, why shd she feel so insecure so as to side with the

males in harassing the dil? (as sam the sudden "reasoned out" it)

does she not have a voice?

even at that age?

why she can't put a stop to it.

it just takes some guts.

i think finally it boils down to that - who has got the will power.

i am not sure if this bride harassment problem is blown out of proportions.

i look into my family.

out of 152 cousins (shall we say 50 % are females? ) perhaps two had a tough

time to begin with though now they are the ones dictating terms in their

households.



there was a news item in indian express about 3 months ago which made an

interesting study.

some woman activist group was surveying Madurai district (?) and most

(roughly 80 %? forgot high as this,) of the women interviewed said their

husbands were right to beat them.

the reasons they sited were that they ignored the children, did not prepare

food, goofed of to the films etc.

i thought of posting it, but deferred in view of the obvious!
