[nukkad] Gandhiji & others

Is n't it surprising that available information is
conspicuously silent on Gandjiji's conflicts with Bhagat
Singh and with Subhash Chandra Bose.

Also, Hardly much is available on Nehru's power struggle
with Maulana Azaad and with Sardar Patel.

How are coming generations going to get a feel of the real
things under this black out.

One of the major problem why youngesters are not interested
in reading about independence struggle and such things is
that they somehow feel that they are not going to be told
about what really happened. At most they will get a watered
down, window-dressed, rosy pictures far, far far away from
truth.

We attribute so much perfection and divine behaviors ot our
leaders that they are only fit to sit on a padestal where
crows do on their heads what crows do on heads. These
mythicali-sed leaders can no more give any motivation to
real life people. That is why there are less followers of
Gandhi, Nehru today. Youths only respect and try to follow
Swami Vivekanand, for these very reasons. 

I used to consider myself quite well versed with freedom
struggle and involved personalities, but seeing the Bhagat
Singh film revealed a surprise to me that Bhagat Singh's
status, at a time, was equal and probably higher than that
of Gandhi ji.

And when this gets revealed, gandhi's hieght gets shorteneed
in comparision and people think that the film/ write-up is
insulting Gandhiji.

Could anybody throw some light why Gandhi ji didn't ask
amensty for bhagat Singh & others when his just one word
could have got it done.
