Tip of the day: It is easy to blame others for society's ills. If you
are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

I do not wish to the ongoing Discussion on Immigrants in MUMBAI. So please
do not relate what I have to say to that. There are more than enough fire in that
thread without me adding to it. Also this definitely is not directed to ANYBODY
remotely connected to this discussion.
BUT PLEASE DO not as in NOT say that this is NOT a beautiful CIty. If you
CARE to see photos from earlier ERA gone by of this City, It was a beautiful city
and It still is. IF any parts of this City are not Beautiful then the reason is
the human being who live in that are do not like or care to live in beautiful
environment. This is what I feel. This might be totally wrong or incorrect. I do
not say in any way that this might be the case. But as far as my opinion is
concerned, If you want to live in a beautiful city then you have to do your two
bit of contribution so that it stays clean. You can not expect others (Read BMC )
to do your contribution for you. If you do think that is the case then the people
(Read BMC again) who do your contribution for you to have the benefits of it as
well. Its kinda unfair to blame BMC for not keeping the City Clean and Taking
credit for beautiful parts in the same breath. That sounds kind of unfair to me.
To end this contribution I'd like to remind just one point that this City is
was and will still be beautiful. If only we want it to be so. After all Beauty is
in the eye of the beholder. so if you think it is not beautiful City then you
probably have a problem with your sense of beauty.
P.S. On second thoughts for those on the immigrant discussion. I am not a
Mumbaikar. Although I must admit this City made a preety good effort to make one
out of me. I still left it to become a proud punekar. But yes I LOVE MUMBAI and am
proud to say that.
