Afghanistan I must say appears to have been the richest and the most
unfortunate of nations.
Cultures like the Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu and Sikh have all been
trampled over by the fundamentalists like the Taliban
A harsh land it has been raped and pillaged by teh hordes of Invaders
from Mongolia and Iran
And yet despite the turmoil the country survives.
I think teh saddest moment i saw in recent Afghan history was a
picture of former President Najibullah handging from a lamp post and
not a soul in sight.
Sad end for a head of state.
