Hello Manoj, Let me shed some light on this. Your statement that one cannot get infection within a fortnight is wrong. One gets infected immediately as the HIV virus penetrates your barrier. Its the detection that is a problem. Routine testing will not detect the infection for 3 to 6 months. However it is claimed that PCR test (polymerase chain reaction) can detect as early as 3-12 days.
