Ref - Anil Nair's opinion on pornography


Hi
In my opinion , pornography is not to be allowed and strict penalty should
be imposed on people entertaining it. I personally feel, there should
be strict laws to BAN this . There is no logic in telling " leave it to 
us, the audience. if it is vulgar we know to reject it". This is
absurd argument, bcoz , 
let me list down the reasons i feel prompting me to say this-- 
0. it is , in simple terms, just VULGAR
1. it degrades our women , and conveys an impression that they are just
sex objects. It depicts the most sublime thing of 'love making' in the
most repulsive manner. It conveys an impression as if the whole life
revolves around sex and nothing more to it!!. It creates a totally wrong
impression  that,  our life is SEXcentric, which is nothing short of
ABSOLUTE ABSURDITY.
2. it DEFINITELY corrupts impressionable minds. u CANNOT dispute this.
children out of fear, and shame keep away from their parents and never
change their impression gathered from these filthy stuff. They carry this
impression with them as they grow up and their whole thinking becomes
perverted. Hence this is to be BANNED.
3. our present day films, depict our women as if they are good for nothing
else. The argument i often hear justifying this is that they are being
exploited. but i strongly feel that the onus lies with THEM. They should
insist that they want more fabric, and leave many things to the
imagination  of the audience!!! Some great guy has told sometime back,
"It is  much more pleasant to  watch an ugly woman dressed elegantly than
a beautiful woman sans fabric"
 

a lot more to list ... but let me reserve it and listen to others
