Anil,
not just indians being proud of india, any person is proud of his/ her
country of birth as well as the country of residence.

it comes from a sense of belongingness, which is an intrinsic value of a
human being. and it has nothing to do with with ancient history, heritage,
advances, etc of that country.

those who feel wronged by their country do not feel proud of it as they
are busy in reviewing their complaint list all the time. they might have a
thing or two to learn from famous Kanady statement, "don't ask what
your country can do for you, tell what you can do for your country".

Hi ,

I am sorry if i do not sound patriotic, but off late i have my doubts about
India being a 'great' country.
Could you guys / girls say something about why they are proud to be
Indians
(please don't talk of Gandhiji and Buddha ... again)
