RE: [nukkad] proud to be Indian?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tip of the day: No personal attacks and abusive behavior.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gautam,

I thought I owe you an explanation.

What the west is doing is no way of explaining what is wrong of India. If
it is wrong it is wrong.

Also, how can one be proud of something he/she made absolutely no effort to
achieve? Where does one get this right? Why does one need it?

Staying with problems and not doing anything is as bad as running away from
problems. Anyways, I don't think I would have done anything if I were in
India. Question arises what those proud Indians who are staying in India
because they are proud of India are doing? (since you seem to have realized
something needs to be done).

Tell me Gautam, during the hijacking crisis there was a cricket match going
on between India and Aus. Were you more concerned about the cricket score or
the status of the passenger, your fellow Indians. Even times reported
cricket score on the headlines because the hijack was around eight days old.
What future can a country have if it values games above the lives of its
people. It all comes down to you individual interest not national. Wake up
Gautam!

Sharad.

Friends,

I think Sharad Vernekar is into some kind of illusion about western part of
this world.
Does he mean to say that they don't have some intelligent people taking
advantage of others?
In fact west, typically US has been exploiting the world with their wierd
policies.
They have always been grossly inconsistant with their thought process.

Anyway, what to say of people who even try to make profits out of wars.
However bad, Indian politicians have never tried that. Rather, no Indian can
even think of gaining something out of wars.

I am surely proud to be a part of such a human culture.

Being born in India was not by choice.
But being proud about it is by choice.

Changes ofcourse are required to be made. But they can only be made by
staying with the problems not running away from them.
Its easy to be away from problems and make comments about them.

Yes ! surely being an Indian is a responsibility. But merely saying so is
not realising it !

regards
- gautam
