Hi All,

Specifically I cannot get over the fact that a huge nation such as India
could be ruled for over 200 + years by an external power. This could have
only been possible with the covert and overt support by the citizens of the
country .

India , in my view , includes all those army men and policemen who fired at
those people in Jallian Wala Baug .All those who connived with the British
for a share of power and all those who hacked their neighbours in 1947 ,in
1984 (sikhs )  , in  1992,  those who set fire to a Christian missionary and
his 2 children (orissa)  those who wipe out communities in Bihar (ranvir
sena ) those who are not ashamed to 'demand' reservation not only for
education but also for  promotions  .

There are of course many men and women who died under the British baton and
many more who die even today at our borders .But it  is not surprising that
a son stands up for his mother or lays down his life in her defence  and
well being , in fact it is expected of him to do so .
But which son will do to his mother what Indians do their motherland
 Please also consider the millions who spit pan outside their cars and on
their staircases ).
