Believe me - by asking for an introduction you
have almost stirred up a hornet's nest.

See!! Ragini is already feeling left out.
I would complain - except that anonymity is
much preferred by me - I have been on the 'Net
long enough to value it :-)

Welcome to Nukkad. It is a great list! A
(fairly) small set of users tend to write to
each other - in public of course. The vast
majority is silent. Every once in a while
some questions pop up that cause a lot of
back-and-forth. At other times the poetry
gang takes over and ... well .. I guess you
have to like poetry to get a word in edgewise.

A word of caution. I would definitely not ask
for an introduction from any other lists - if I
were you. In 'Net parlance, introducing yourself
automatically classifies you as a 'Newbie' and
attracts the scorn of the so called experienced
ones. And the scorn can be SCATHING! So beware.

Another place to hang out is on the Usenet.
Google has recently compiled the past 20 years'
worth of Usenet postings. And it is searchable
too! Soc.culture.indian is a Usenet site that
brings back fairly painful memories :-)

Well anyway - enough of this. Welcome once
again!
