There are some exaggerrations in the story and it glosses over 
a ridiculous controversy that has erupted around this story.

The inclusion of the WTC steel in this ship is purely a symbolic move.
More than 350,000 tons of the steel has already been sold
to recyclers in China, India and other countries. Only about
20 to 30 tons will be used in this warship. So it is quite
likely of your next fridge being more connected with the WTC than 
the warship will ever be.

The battleship will be operational in 2007 at the earliest.
This is not 'soon' at least that way we use 'soon'.

The controversy relates to the location of the shipyard. Some
New Yorkers do not want this ship to be built in Mississippi
because they believe that the state is still racist.
