There is a site I had been to probably searchamovie.com or something. It had detailed yearwise list of each and every hindi release since god said let there be light. I mean sort of. I guess there aremore than 6000 movies listed. and every movie has a link to it that I have not gone, but I guess they must be leading to pages having more info on the film. Somehow, they have not updated for 3-4 years. There are just a few movies of 1999, even less in 2000, and none at all for 2001, 2002. Their email id bounces. What an excellent effort gone waste. But whatever data is there will remain authentic forever. > Also, try asking this on the rec.arts.local.movies.indian newsgroup. People there are movie buffs and may be able to compile the details. My experience of ng is not all that good. People mostly fight with each other in that (nukkad is epitome of peace compared to that), or mostly spam to preach their liking. Also, I guess most of the ngs are crowded by old guys because newer generations are towards mailing lists and not towards ngs. I have met many many youngsters who do not know what an ng is. > BTW, it would be wonderful to have this (and other film-related data) online. It could be the imdb.com for Bollywood. Think over it. I am game. :) > I haven't see it but Kaa.Nte is "inspired by" Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs". I have seen RD and it is one of those movies that raise the same questions. It is a very violent movie and some of the scenes are quite disturbing. It is one of those movies which you either absolutely love or absolutely hate. > I imagine Kaa.Nte is somewhat similar. There are a lot of abusive language, cheap jokes. For hindi films a swear word or four letter word is not usable in films where as in english films that is a usual thing. > The film is funded by private money, not govt. funds. As such, the producers and financiers are free to waste their money as they wish. Government is sanctioning conversions to foreign currency. There are limits how much a person can spend on particular activities. A person staying in India can spend only US $75/- per year, or questions CAN be asked. These guys have spend Rs 50 Crores on the movie. That is a bundle of foreign currency. On such an arbit film. > As for false publicity, does anyone go to see a movie based on where it is shot? Exotic locales can't rescue a bad movie. That is the whole point. I wennt to the movie, (also) thiking that there will be exotic locales of L.A., but most, almost all, of the movie is shot indoors. If they could arrange 50 white people, the entire shooting could have been done in Ballard Estate and no one would have been any wiser. > I couldn't get to netkhazana.com but will look at the others and try to understand their schemes. Will post the details later. Just curious. Has no one ever heard of these scheme? not even you? Corporate office of Emanthan.com is at Indore itself. One Mr R Lunkad is the owner. At the start of Dec, its sucriber staged a dhranaa outside his office protesting against not payments, faulty payments, and non fulfilment of expansion/ future plans.the guy declined to show even to plice what commitments/ cotracts he had from agencies who are supposed to pay him. Then it was decided that Collerctor and Seniormost police official will study the documents and shall assure the public. Nothing heard ever since. -Rawat ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To join/leave, use the form at: http://www.mumbai-central.com/nukkad/#options This list is archived at: http://www.mumbai-central.com/nukkad/archive.html
