Blessed is he who has found his work; let him ask no
other blessedness. -Thomas Carlyle, essayist and historian (1795-1881)

TAHER:

> # Coming to the 'vibes', actually, Ragini and I are almost the same age,
she
is a bit younger, so we have more or less the same body language, and
similar levels of pulling each other's legs, and appreciating each other's
 strong/weak points.
That is what I was referring to.
When you vibe well, you can be instant friends, and all the seven oceans
between you are abolished and the ice melts AT ONCE!
 Got that, bhai?

==> Nukkad must be a really magic place if it makes such meetings possible!
But how is 'genius loci' created? Is it not by people..?

> Coming to your 2nd query, "met with" is a distinct Americanism, and
replaces
 " met" in Queen's English..

==> It is considered so, and especially to meet for a discussion.

 >As to met up with: I think it better conveys the sense that we set up a
meeting place( rendezvous`) and both of us went there to meet each other. I
am not sure, it sounds like the correct usage.
If anyone has other thoughts, please come forth and discuss.
Specially inviting Sam ,Dr.Gupta and Anna.

==> 'Meet up' is considered less formal than 'meet' and usually means
meeting someone for a specific purpose. Phrasal verbs in general are
consodered less formal. Though not all of course.
So 'meet up with' could be defined as informal British phrasal with an
American shade. Which makes it a perfect vocabulary item of Nukkadglish!
Had it the sound /r/ , we could add the phonetic aspect - the rolled /r/.
: )))

Wishing we would meet up one day,

Anna. : )
