            As far as these opinions are analysed, I see that there is a
very broad gap between what a religion wants to convey and what is being
interpreted out of the religion. Basically, when I was a child and I had no
other options except to believe what my parents or teachers told me, I took
them all for granted and was one of the most pious persons in my area. I
used to go to the temple every day and used to pray to the god to make me
stronger, happier and to help me get a good job. Now later on, from my high
school onwards, I began to question the concept. The concept of god seemed
illogical and irrational to me in a lot of occasions. There were some other
occasions also, when god was able to give explanations to a lot of questions
which otherwise seemed to have no explanations. Then was that important
question that cleared a lot of my doubts and gave me a good idea about the
concept came out. If there is a god.ie if the concept of god was a reliable
one, then, how come there be a number of different religions and different
gods. I just went on thinking about the issue. Then obviously, I asked a
number of friends of mine who said they believe in god about the concept of
god and the answer that I got was that without god, there are a lot of
problems that could not be explained, but on the assumption of an invisible,
inaudible and immortal superhuman power solved many of the problems and many
of the questions about life. Suppose we ask our selves what is the purpose
of our lives or what is the aim of our lives or what is it that we achieve
at the end of this journey. Not many will have a sound answer. I am sure
there will be a lot of people who say that they just leave their lives to
fate and will live according to the wish of the almighty. Now I think, the
answer itself solves many of the problems. I am sure that none of us will be
that much confident to say that it is only this generation that thinks about
something so reasonably. We all agree to the fact that man used to think a
lot and that is what resulted in his inventions of wheel, fire, agriculture
and upto artificial intelligence. Obviously I am of the opinion that
inventing cloning in this centuy is not as worthy or difficult task as
inventing wheel that time. what I am trying to tell is that when situations
compel, man's brain works real fast. Then there was always such a time,
when, men in small groups, were living in tiny villages or what were a
premature form of our current villages. then he was able to manage wild
animals, himself or collectively with his teammates. But the real challenge
was from natural calamities like floods, earthquakes and lightning. He was
really afraid, as he could not find a solution to such problems and it was
really tight for him to explain these phenomena. He can't just help himself
giving a superhuman image to that big ball of fire in the sky, upon which,
he was even not able to look. It was also sure was the thunders and
lightning came from there. Thus formed the idea of gods. Each of the people
of the communities according to their geographical and social environments
offered widely varying ideas about god. That should obviously be the cause
of innumerable gods and religions. Now as far as such a community does not
interact with others, there is no problem and communal peace and harmony
exists. Now, when such two or three communities meet and try to impose one's
ideas upon the other, problems arise. Problems of such severe nature as
those occured in Gujrat. When people don't understand the need of a religion
and are unable to distinguish the areas where religious concepts should be
applied and where they are absolutely inapplicable, naturally there arises
disturbances whether they are communal or religious. This also is a problem
of lack of education and also that of acting as per the heart and not as per
the brain, the one and only thing, which differentiates man from other
animals. Thus the only way to solve these problems is to educate people and
also the politicians. The very hard and pitiable reality of our country is
that educated won't go for politics and politicians don't go for education.
It is such childish politicians who make the matters worse
