Dear Joshi,

I have to take umbrage at your choice of words in your letter.

You write:

Both the above statements are perversions of your mind. Firstly, let me say
that the secularists HAVE condemned the " atrocities" done on the sevaks in
no uncertain terms. Read the nukkad archives for some examples. Or turn to
national dailies of that time, and read them. I mean, READ THEM. Don't just
repeat what the fanatics seem to be shouting from the rooftops.

And just what do you mean hen you call India Hindu's "own country"?

India belongs to all Indians, be they of any religious faith.
No one can " hijack" our motherland and call it its/their own.

Please remember that.

Other than these two jarring statements, I agree that Modi cannot be
degraded or brushed aside. He is really a popular CM, but mind you, he will
not be a great man unless he PUNISHES THE RIOTERS, and gives justice to the
thousands of Muslims who have lost their near and dear ones, their
properties, their means of livelihood, and their self-esteem.
Unless he does all that, I am sorry, but no matter how many other flags he
plants on the soil of India, and makes Hindutva victorious, he will never ,
ever, be judged a great man.
He must strive to be like Gold. or at least Silver. Iron... no, but no,
thanks.
Iron Age went out millions of years before Kalyug.
Iron is a " base" metal.
