1.i agree with the thought that Hinduism is not religion but culture.

there are may Hindu religions like saivism, vaishnavism etc.

they do not really contradict each other.

there might have been disputes among them but never went to the extent of

exterminating those of the other faith.

one can call them hindus and they won't object.

can you say the same of a muslim or christian?



my objection to Christianity or Islam stems from their Semitic nature (this

is the only way) which seeks to divide. i have nothing against the

Christians or Muslims per se - as they have to be some where and they are

born to parents of that faith. those in these religion who have really

though about things turn out to be moderates.

problem is with the ultras and politicians who have hijacked these

communities.



2.hindus have been subjected to humiliation for centuries and at last when

they fight back there is a cry ' two wrongs does not make a right."

we have to face the reality of this Hindu backlash which will exist for some

time when reason

will prevail and things can be truly " secular" with Hindu domination who

will see to that.

this triggered my childhood memories.

during the china war i was eight years old and was thinking what is the

problem? we should make a soldier stand every 100 yards and shoot any

Chinese who come. hmmmmm. if only things were so simple......

but they aren't. that is why i was talking of an invasion to get a more
easily defendable border some time back in nukkad..
