>>Dr T V “problem is with the ultras and politicians who have hijacked these
>>communities.”

Surely you will agree that this is a political success for ANY community
when ultra’s and politicos hijack the masses?

While "Aditi Shah" wrote the following let me add my two cents worth to
this..

<<During the riots and after the Godhra incident, when wide scale
anger was …..Chief Minister to protect these "hindustanis">>

I absolutely agree, a picture made famous by Reuters, was of a Muslim tailor
Naseeruddin, in whose eyes one could see the terror and fear of death as he
pleaded for his life to be saved. And was he pleading to the armed Hindu’s
at his doorstep? No he was pleading to the policemen who watched as the
rioters went wild. Fortunately Naseeruddin was saved literally by the bell
as the Army swung into the street moments later. But it is at such times
that we need to question the leadership of people like Modi. Its not about
just winning elections, it's about respecting human life and a few more
things. Many an election has been won on the basis of threats does this make
a local goonda a leader???

Earlier Rohit had commented about Congress elections in Gujrat, taking on a
saffron hue alebeit mildly. Well Rohit bhai the congress chose for its
leader a man who used to be a former BJP, "saffron clad" if u like. They
pulled him down saying he had no moral authority to rule as he was inept,
inefficient etc.
The COngress are so bankrupt for leaders that they had to bathe and redress
him for their campaign. In tehse circumstances I doubt it was suprisiing
that they lost.
I think Vaghela was best described on rediff I cannot remember if it was TVR
Shenoy or Varsha Bhsle quote "...cut his political teeth while dressed in
safrron chaddi's"

N K Joshi wrote <<do you want the VHP, Bajrang Dal held guilty for the
tremendous Relief work done by them during the earth quake at kutch in
Gujarat.>>

Obviously not tremendous enough because that was one of the few places the
BJP did not do too well.

<<Have they been ever found guilty, Masjids >> a contentious remark but
Remember Babri???

<<Kalloor Venugopal Why the Pakistanis not taking the stranded Pakistanis
from Bangladesh if they are really looking the interest of Muslims.>>

I don’t know if this was Venu or an excerpt from another mail. My answer
is,....For the same reason that India is not taking the Hindu Rajasthani’s
back.
