it is one of ironies of life that the people with common roots have been
divided so much.

no wonder people have so much against that religion.

ten years ago i was talking to an old man who had lived in the middle east

 for five decades. i was discussing this problem why the Arab countries seem
to be against us.

he said it is very untrue.

they had all respects to the Hindus initially and when the Indian

Muslims started going there they were shocked by this respect and set

about spreading wrong ideas.

what do the Indian Muslims have in common to the Arabs?

why they have never Indians their religion?

why the few Indians sects have not grown?

5.re DINESH on RE: [nukkad] Cry, My Beloved India :

=dinesh you have to understand one thing.

the Hindu Muslim problem should be viewed from a different perspective.

when a society has been subjected to discrimination and violence for a long
time with no relief in sight is not going to put up with the problems for
long.

the society is going to retaliate some time or other.

the Muslim society had played the vote bank card for long and Hindus have
had a raw deal.

it is only natural that they will react violently someday.

now they are doing so.

while you and i may not agree with the retaliation since we have the
advantage of being far removed from the center of things,are educated, and
can think calmly at leisure.

but for the society which has been at the receiving end on the ground it is
an emotional issue. the reaction is no wonder.

we can say so easily it should not have happened.

but i think we should understand the situation if not condone the actions.

any ideas on how these things can be set right instead of launching on a
tirade?



6...common:

i think modi should be given some time to see how the governance is.

after all the people have given the verdict and there is nothing to be
gained by spitting venom on modi.

let us see if he is after all a politician or a statesman which we lack so
much.

so far he has been making all the right noises.
