Arya is teh lamplighter the man that went about lighting the gas lamps? or 
were they electric ones?
I remember a man on a cycle with a long stick that went on turning on the 
lights in Khar. The street lamps had a switch half way up approx 12-15 ft 
off the ground and come 6 pm he would show up slowly working his way across 
from gthe BSES office in Santa Cruz East. I dont know if they organised this 
by district but what I used to think was a long way off from my house of 
course as a four year old distances also lost their perspective I guess.

He looked almost a twin of teh man who used to shoe bullocks who also went 
around on a bicycle. They were almost like twins with shorts and a 
banian/vest/ganji and strong!

the man wud shoe teh bullocks in teh shade of a tree near my house and we 
would walk away with the discarded shoe thinking we had half a horseshoe and 
hence just half the luck!It took some time to notice teh diff in hoof 
patterns o fteh bovine and equine species :)
