With the current world ratings confirming brian lara as number 1, it seesm 
tendulkar has been dethroned from the top position.

it started with the victory that india achieved over england in the natwest 
final in 2002.
the test series against australia has reassured the indian fans that indian 
team can not only survive but come out victorious despite tendulkars failure.

more alarming was sachins technique and the manner in which he misjudged the 
line of few deliveries that got him out in this series. these are not signs of 
top batsman especially one who has been playing since 15 yrs.

this is a big turnaround in the indian team over the last 2-3 yrs.
