I guess that reasons are:- 

- lack of original idea
- creating his web presense

But you do have perseverance that you could do all this.

My point is:

Create a web site on any idea you have. Everybody does have ideas but
he/she feels it is not worth it and nobody will visit a site on such a
idea.

Don't believe in above. The bonus of the net presense is that your
site is accessible to entire earth 24x7x52. Out of 5 billion
population of earth, there will be enough persons interested in any
idea you have that they will give you enough number of visitors to
justify your creation of your site.

for example, I used to note down lyrics of film/non-film songs. then I
thought of creating a website of it, and I did create a website having
all lyrics of all hindi songs compsed by a r rahman. As a bonus I put
english translations of those songs also on it.

And it was quite a hit. Several visitors find it very useful, that
they used to humm the song or music without understanding what is
being spoken. Now they could pronounce it correctly and even
understand what it is all about.

I had put a free counter and by the time the counter site went
commercial stopping free statistics, I was having 200 visitors per
week. It is a good figure by net standard for a hobby, first site.

The morale of the story is:

think about each hobby you have,
and figure out which hobby you can make in a web site.

Anything will do. If you wish you could present your ideas here and
members can give suggestion on what all to put on such a site on such
a subject.
