Point taken there. I'd love to hear Proctor being interviewed on this.
I am fully for a similar ban on Ponting.

Two ways of looking at this. Either Proctor is completely racist, or
he's sick of racism because of havng being discriminated against in
favour of blacks in South Africa, as he says. I dont believe in the
former because he's mature enough to not make baseless decisions as
regards to to ban on Bhajji after he saw what hapenned to Mike Deness
in 2001 (anyone who's heard of him since?). He is an official match
referee representing the ICC on a contractual basis. He is fully aware
that his decision, if found to be completely baseless, will have the
BCCI, a much stronger body anyday than the ICC, after his head.

There altercation started at the strikers end, which continued as both
Bhajji and Symonds walked towards the non striker's. Hayden, Gilly,
Clarke were all closer then. I'm not saying they were right in their
claims. I'm just giving you a point of view about why they were
believed more than Tendulkar. Tendulkar can testify that Bhajji did
not say anything between say 10 Am - 10:05 Am..Hayden and Clarke and
Gilchrist can testify saying Bhajji said something at 9:58 AM, and
theres nothing that Tendulkar can do then.
