What's wrong if a not-out batsman, given falsely out is called to resume batting even after the next batsman has faced a ball/s ? The new incumbant can now be deemed as remaining not-out on the runs he scored. And ofcourse, in case if the recalled batsman is out, rightly this time, then the same new batsman can resume his inning on the same score. I think this arrangement should be workable.
