Again this cant be done for every dismissal. You cannot make such
things a norm in cricket. I'm all for a captain's appeal though. A
captin should be given the right to appeal against 2 decisions per
match. It would cut down on a lot of controversy.

Why not have the third umpire decide anything which is controversial?
If difficult catches, saves on the boundary and run-outs can be
checked by the 3rd umpire and work perfectly well in ODIs or T-20s,
why won't it work in Tests?

Third umpires do check for these things even in tests - provided the
on field umpires ask for assistance. In this case, apparently neither
Bucknor nor Benson had faith in the third umpire's decisions to
repeatedly blunder. They did it themselves instead.

I, personally enjoy sledging. Even while playing myself. I just read
an article by Allan Border that said:
"Teams playing against Australia fail to understand that banter,
gamesmanship, sledging or whatever anyone would like to call it is
just the way Australian kids joust and play in the schoolyard and
backyards."

What he's basically saying is its okay for the Aussies to do it
because they have been doing it all their life. Typical arrogance. I
hope someone introduces him to the desi gaalis that go around in every
gully cricket match that takes place in India.

And there should be yellow cards and red cards which should be used
by the umpires on the field rather than a match referee.

A debatable issue. If we have the same appeal system in place, then
the ICC will run out of appeal commissioners within a day.
