Hello Doctor,

you are asking for comments? we have all given ours and do read what Mr.
Malhotra has posted from a medical point of view. 
Perhaps you didn't read mine? you could look at all pros of abortion but that
one con more than balances all the pros in that you suffer the consequence as
per the law of Karma.And the pros are after all really not pros as we have
discussed previously how population can be controlled.

I felt I had to respond to this one. I am a new member, wandered from BT.
I am a doctor. I have seen abortions but I have refused to even assist in
one. I am against it, in principle and in practice. But I have also seen
children abused and wished they had not been born. And this cuts across
social and economic levels.
I am confused.
Fact- In most families irrespective of caste, creed, etc. a male offspring
is hailed like the coming of Krishna or Christ, and a female offspring is
greeted by sympathy bordering on condolence! (BTW I am male!)
So the choice is between abortion and population.
I choose abortion. From the martian point of view.
But I am still confused.
Comment?
Abt adoption, I beg to differ from 'rajababu's' view, but that is another
subject.
