hello...
We could continue to discuss abortion endlessly. Each person has their own
beliefs and each person should come to their own conclusion with their
beliefs and facts about abortion. Even though I don't believe I could ever
have an abortion, I don't beleive that I should impose on what others decide
to do. The risks must be weighed out individually.
Unfortuanately not everyone is responsible with birth control or this
wouldn't even really be an issue (with some exceptions).
I understand the point that Prashant Bhargava was making and for many people
and cases it may hold true...but I want to share a poem with all of you.
This is where those who object to sentimental stuff should quit reading...

A child loaned

"I'll lend you for a little time a
     child of Mine," God said
"For you to love the while he lives and
     mourn for when he's dead.
It may be four or five years or twenty-
     two or three
But will you keep him for awhile and
     Care for him for Me?"

"He will bring charms to gladden you,
and should his stay be brief,
You will have his lovely memeories as
     solace for your greif.
I cannot promise you he'll stay, since
     all from earth return'
But there are joys to know down there
I want this child to learn.
And from the folks who walk life's
     lanes, I have selected you.
Now, will you give him all your love?
     Not think the labor vain?
Nor hate Me when the time does come
     to take him back again?"

I fancied that I heard them say: "Dear
     Lord, we accept this son.
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the
     risk of grief we'll run.
We'll share with him in tenderness, and
     love him while we may
And for the happiness we'll know, forever
     grateful stay.
And should Thy angel call for him much
     sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
and give to You his hand."
