         	      CONTRADICTIONS SERIES: PART 2

   It is difficult to understand that life is simple. Simple life alone
can transcend all difficulties in life. Our difficulties are that we
	don't want to be simple for the simple reason that our life is
awfully difficult. How do we simplify our life so that we can overcome all
difficulties of life? The following rules used as thumb-rules can give us a
simple way to simplify the difficulties in life:
	Rule 1: Let us not take Life Too Seriously.
	Not taking life too seriously means refusal to react to people and
problems in life. When we react we have accepted the people and the problems
to be real. In fact, they are not. It is just a coincidence that we all have
come together along with our idiosyncrasies and want to be together although
we cannot. When we recognise this fact we stop being serious. Do we react
seriously to the mirrors in a mirror-house?  We see different kind of
reflections in different mirrors, looking at our ugliness as reflected by
the different curvatures of the mirror and come out laughingly.
	We don't think of going to the doctor for having seen our
reflections either as a tape-worm or a pumpkin. It is just a reflection. So
is true in life. Life is a reflection of ourselves in the different
curvatures, the mirrors of people around. Let us learn to live with them and
not merely react. This method can give us the strength of wit and humor
which can dissolve difficulties and don't waste time in solving problems.
Simplicity contradicts seriousness and seriousness denies simplicity.
Seriousness is an attitude in life where two factors are accepted as real :
	(i)	this little me is the Ultimate Reality of life, and
	(ii)	this little event, work or project is all that can be said
of
		life which is not true.
		Changing this attitude towards life is a simple method of
overcoming the difficulties of life.
		Rule 2: Let Us Live Our Life Sincerely.
		Sincerity is an expression of integrity of our individuality
in a disintegrated world around. Let us bring all our faculties, strength
and abilities at every time, in every situation and in every place in spite
of the people around us so that the best is brought out. That best need not
be the required best, it can always be improved upon, yet we have done our
best and let us leave the rest to the Lord to do.
		When sincerity is not mistaken as seriousness, life becomes
simple.  When since rity is meant to be serious life means living death at
every moment. Such a living-death kind of people have all the complaints
about everything in the world, be it an innocent mosquito or the
international economic situation. They are helpless and constantly
complaining about every one and such complaint boxes live in the life of
contradictions. Essentially we are ever-present, but they live the life
under the fever of constant death. We are essentially the Pure Knowledge,
but they are under the influence of solid ignorance. We are essentially an
embodiment of Bliss. However they are constantly carrying a load of
miseries. Thus our life contradicts our essence. Contradictions of our
essence namely the Blissful Conscious Existence is making simple things
difficult.
		Therefore, to make life simple let us allow the essence in
our being to flow in its own glow. Let us allow the essence in us to flow in
its fully glory. To allow this Pure Self to express through us fully is
being simple.
In fact all the solutions of life are found in contradictions. The problems
are contradicted in solutions and solutions are contradicted in being
simple. Simplicity is immune to all contradictions because being simple
means not to contradict. The world around us is just beautiful and the
people around us are just as they should be. Let us learn to live in this
world of contradictions and achieve a simple solution to all the difficult
problem of life.
