Abortion!

Hello all,

 

As we have deliberated for long now; should we permit abortions or should we not, there remains one thing unanswered. What happens to the mother, whose child was aborted as it happened to be a girl (I still decline to call it foetus)? Won't it have the feelings which I gather in the following lines?

 

As I see the picture, that hanging on the wall
Come so many desires, come such nice thoughts,
The beauty so clear, that it can't belie
And still, it lacks, a few colours to be filled
As, i try to listen to the distant call
Even a single beat isn't heard, anymore,
I hold, in my hands some torn clothes now,
Oh! they were lies, as I realize
Should I rue, that I have lost?
Or, should I wait, that I may win?
Now, as I go for, the highs of this world
They fail to enchant, my starving soul
My thoughts hang, like that picture,
Upon the same nail, as if waiting for something
I remember again, now so clearly
The time, the day, when I was so afraid
Browbeaten as I was, quelled at last
I can still hear that cry, not mine
The cry which had come, from deep inside
A agony that I bear, is now to remain
Why should I suffer for the reasons unknown?
This anguish of mine, is on the canvas for good
Again I see the picture, over there, on the wall
Now, to realize, it's me, that's suspended
As time is now frozen, and I contemplate
Shall I ever be complete, again?

 

I am sorry to any woman, who might have experienced this trauma. I don't know how she would feel; and my thoughts are entirely based upon my own way of thinking.

 

Still, I feel that with this point alone, we should decry abortions, unless supported by medical reasons.
