Do I detect sarcasm here? The DOCTOR is only confused on the philosophical
implication of abortion (male or female). For the 'poor uneducated patients'
I see, the advice is ABORT. Someone suggested birth control! Try advising
the poor (I have worked among the poorest of the poor in Bihar) and you will
be shunned like the devil. Children are God's gift you see. And
sterilisation is devastating for health. Like helmets are bad for the hair.
So abortion is BAD? Birth control isn't working. So what do we do? Answer-
let Nature take care of the problem. Nature has plenty of solutions- famine,
floods, cyclones, train and bus accidents. And in Bihar - guns.
The solution is EDUCATION but only after ensuring BASIC NUTRITION.
Contemplate doing MS in Computer Science? Like I need a hole in the head! I
quit BITS Pilani for a medical career and I find my life more meaningful
than churning out software programs! Thank you for the suggestion!
