HER PROTECTOR

A man is his wife's natural and sole protector.

Once this is established, he can then be her lover
And closest friend, confidante, companion of good days and bad.

His shoulder is her natural sanctuary where nothing will harm her
His arm is her strength, for she is the seed-bearer and needs it
His warm hands are her comfort in the chill, cold, deadly winters 
His elbow around her waist is the anchor by which she journeys.

His eyes are her windows to his soul which lead her to her own
His lips bring her the warm comfort of love as also rampant rapture
His voice, steady, kind, gentle, is the sail by which she navigates
His loins are vast valleys in which she encounters forbidden pleasure.

She, half wild and hardly ever tamed, one day decides to Trust
And opens to him her vast uncharted treasures of unknown measure.

She trusts and therefor loves, adores, adulates, worships and revels.
He is worthy of trust, and partakes of the Wine of the Gods ...

... Everyday, in every way, by simply being there.

Some call this Love.
