Pakistan's self proclaimed President Parwej Mushraf
was on the visit to India recently. When he 
was receiving a welcome at Delhi airport, he was
introduced with our Air Chief Marshal Mr. Anil 
Yashwant Tipnis, accoring to the rules, Mr. tipnis was
suppose to SALUTE first n then he was 
suppose to shake hand with Mushraf, but Mr. Tipnis
didn't salute him instead he shook his 
hand. This shows that India n Indian forces can't
tolerate any insult to their self esteem. 
Please remember that last yr when Mr. Vajpai was there
at Lahore to meet with Nawaj Shareef,
at that time Mushraf was Chief of Armed forces of
Pakistan n for the welcome ceremony of 
Mr. Vajpai, he was abscent. This was looked as an
insult to India n Indian armed forces. By 
doing this Mr. Tipnis, had showed to world that India
n Indian armed forces can't take an insult
to their self esteem. Also during this yr when Kargil
war happened, Mushraf was instrumental in
planning that, which resulted into a heavy casualty of
Indian Jawans. By acting this, 
Mr. Tipnisit also showed this world that Indian forces
will miss their SHAHEED's and remember
them with pride. Mr. Tipnis is also the Supreme
Commander of all the 3 wings of Indian armed 
foces. His act is consdered as a winning move towards
the self esteem of India n Indian armed 
forces. He n all his colleagues were also abscent for
the dinner party arranged for Mushraf.
This reminds me one of the incident in late 17th
century when Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,
declined to salute Aurangjeb.  
This is indeed a very proud moment for India n Indian
armed forces n of course all Maharashtrians
I think that we shud congratulate Mr. Tipnis for his
brave n intelligent act.
