Re: [nukkad] LIFE.....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tip of the day: These are the 'good old days' we will fondly remember.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Ashish,

Yes, I do agree that some people come into our
lives and leave an impression.
Let me share one incident that happened to me a
year ago. It was nearly 10 at night when I was
returning from office. It was a dark night, and
deserted too. A vehicles, dogs, and a few people,
that's about it. It's about 12-13kms from the office
to home. I usually call home before I depart from
office.
I have to accept the fact that I am careless. I
had not checked the amount of petrol in the vehicle.
Yes, you guessed right. The vehicle ran out of petrol.
The bunk was about a kilometer away. The locality was
not new to me. I had few friends placed there, but
this path on which the vehicle had stopped was a
lonely one. I pushed the vehicle few yards. Two guys
on a bike passed me and commented. I cursed my luck.
Now, I was scared!
At the same time, a couple with a kid had passed
by. They came back and offered help. The man got a
litre of petrol from the bunk, while the his wife and
kid stayed back with me.
We were perfect strangers! But I guess it was my
luck to find such good people. They accompanied me
home and I make it a point to visit them once a month
:D
I'm surprised that there are such good people
still on this planet earth :D

What I was taught - to check the petrol in the
vehicle, the tool kit, to carry an empty can, not to
take short-cut routes that are lonely, to carry the
tele number of police patrol car, to never leave
office late :D

'I better be careful...',
